Project engineer with utility engineering company. Responsibilities include field inspection, surveying, preparation of field sheets, review of field sheets and notes, and final AutoCAD/Microstation deliverable to ensure accuracy between final deliverables and in the field conditions as necessary.

LeRoy Surveyors and Engineers
Project manager with engineering and surveying firm including all phases of site development engineering for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Duties included initial client contact, cost estimates, and proposal preparation.

AHR Engineers structural engineering
Project manager with a small engineering firm. Duties include design and drafting of various civil engineering projects and occasional field and office support for survey department. Maintain a small network and provide MIS support for other computer users.

All Land Engineering Services, PLLC Partnership with a developer client. Responsibility for all engineering decisions as the registered engineer for the company. Also responsible for procurement, budgeting, finances, staffing, project management, job tracking and administration. Wired, setup, and maintained small (4 workstations) peer to peer LAN. Services included all phases of site development engineering for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Responsibilities included topographical mapping, storm water management design, sewer plans, geotechnical and soil engineersevaluations, and on-site septic system design for developers and individual homeowners. Projects ranged in size from $5000 to approximately $5,000,000.

Assisted in all phases of civil engineering design, drafting, and fieldwork using a total station. Projects included storm water management design, on-site septic system design, soils evaluation, sewer plans, and geotechnical assessments.

As professional engineer worked on various projects involving septic design grading, erosion control, storm water management , sewer plans, and geotechnical assessments for developers and individual homeowners. Projects ranged in size from $5000 -$500,000.

Grandview Ridge:

blueprintsDesign of roads, storm water management, and water service for approximately fifty lot subdivision. Suggested and assisted client in obtaining an easement for a biofiltration swale from PSE to allow the subdivision to drain into Lake Tapps without quantity control resulting in two additional lots, both with views of Lake Tapps.

 

Westside Community Bank Building:

Providing grading and storm water management design for construction of a bank office building and associated parking on a 10,000 square foot lot in outwash soils. Wrote a Technical Equivalency Request for and received approval for the use of a proprietary storm water quality treatment device which provided better treatment, was more economical, and required less area than the prescriptive design.

 

El Paso Estates:

Design of roads, storm water management, and sewer service for a thirty nine lot subdivision with a gas line easement bisecting the property. Relocated cul-de-sac from preliminary plat location in gas line easement to meet gas company requirements. Negotiated with and obtained agreement from the gas line company to allow a small incursion into easement to maintain original lot count. Wrote a Technical Equivalency Request and received approval for the use of a bio-infiltration swale, not currently adopted by Pierce County, for storm water quality treatment.

 

Greymont: civil engineering

Utilized GPS and LDD to generate a surface to calculate the volume of limestone piled on a dock at the Port of Tacoma that included a conveyor belt and pipe access through pile.

 

Oxbow Parke:

Assisted surveying department in surveying and calculating boundaries from original GLO notes for a planned housing development located on the Oxbow of the Puyallup River. Laid out lots for preliminary plat increasing the number of lots from 125 to 150 and reducing the road length by 500 lineal feet from the original conceptual design, providing all but 20 lots with rear yard frontage on either the oxbow natural buffer area or storm water management/park tract.

 

Star Lake Project:

Served as an expert witness in a civil action for a defendant accused of damage to neighboring properties through illegal fill activities on the defendant’s property that also included a Municipal storm water outlet. Negotiated with the municipality to achieve economical corrective action for the illegal fill activities.

Assumed project management and completed redlined review comments for proposed campground. Consulted with client extensively in person, by phone, and mail to explain financial implications of possible mitigation required to obtain an MDNS and variance required for her project.
